Well, I just hopped out of VRChat. It's past midnight where I am right now but I figure that I might as well place a starting post on here.
I've been busying myself with a whole load of web-related projects these past weeks. I don't have the concentration to make quick progress on any of them, but they're keeping me busy and I think that's a good thing. Regarding this site, I'm probably going to add some contact information soon. No social media accounts, just good ol' email. And also XMPP for instant messaging. I think I'd actually prefer the latter given that email has only got second-class support for end-to-end encryption.
But I can go on that tangent another time. It's the best of what's available out there right now as far as I can see. Matrix was also a consideration but it's heavyweight as hell and a lot about it is sucky. Maybe I'll grab an account anyways, but I'm not holding my breath. There were some good blog posts pointing out all of Matrix' faults which motivated me to try XMPP again.
Plenty of stuff to write about. I should probably go to bed though.
